Taekwondo Club League

The British Lions Taekwondo Club League is aimed at clubs across the United Kingdom wishing to increases their opportunities for WTF Olympic style Taekwondo competition.

The Club League is open to both WTF and ITF clubs, offering a unique opportunity to the ITF to come and experience the Olympic style of Taekwondo.

Clubs joining the League will field twenty selected players at each fixture, and play all other member clubs twice a year, one home and one away match. Points are then accumulated throughout on a club team basis, with an away win claiming the full three points and a home win two point. There will then be a finals championship to determine the final winners.

OVERVIEW OF CODES OF CONDUCT

All teams may have an unlimited number of players in their squad, however only twenty can be selected to field any game of play.

The twenty players from each club team may be any grade, age or weight.

The away team will selected the weights to be played, and notice given to the home team no later than fourteen days prior to the fixture.

Borrowing of players to fill places from other teams within the league is not permitted.

WTF rules and weights will apply, except where stated.

If a player presented by the away team can not be matched by the home team by weight, then that match will be forfeited to the team presenting the player of that weight.

All participating teams must play one home and one away match with each team within the league.

All costs will be footed by the clubs themselves, with the exception that £5 will be submitted by each player towards the hall costs to the home team.

Each team entering the league must have a minimum of one 10m x 10m ring, or matted area. (Matting could be hired at the expense of the home club team only.)

Each team entering the league must have full electronic scoring software. (Electronics could be hired at the expense of the home club team only.)

Each team will pay a refundable £300 bond, returnable at the full completion of the year, that is after playing all teams within the league at home and away.

Each team must supply a minimum of two corner referees and one centre referee per match, both at home and away.

All players must be registered to the league at £10 per year, payable to British Lions Taekwondo.
